Patience Carter
President/CEO
Patience Carter is the president/CEO of Patience’s Compassionate Care. Patience has been in this field of providing services for individuals with intellectual disabilities for over 19+ years. Patience started working in this field as a Direct Support Professional and quickly moved up to a Team Leader position. Patience also held various position over the years including Program Assistant, Program Manager, Program Director and now President/CEO. Patience’s passion within this field continues to grow which leads her to this point. Patience received her Associate of Science in Human Services – Social Work from Ivy Tech community College. Patience then went on to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a minor in Health Education and a minor in Sociology from IUPUI. During her time at IUPUI, Patience became a member of the Bowen Scholar and Alpha Kappa Delta, an International Sociology Honor Society. Patience is currently pursuing her master’s degree and tends to grow within her role.
Patience has a lovely daughter who has been her biggest inspiration. In her free time Patience enjoys cooking and hosting different events for her family & friends to attend. Patience enjoys going to Australia to visit families and friends.
Dr. Argnue Chitiyo
Director of Behavior Management
Dr. Argnue Chitiyo is an Assistant Professor of Applied Behavior Analysis at Ball State University. He is also a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with experience working with children with autism and emotional/behavioral disorders. His research interests focus on evidence-based practices for students with emotional disorders and autism. He also does research focusing on special education development in Sub Saharan Africa. Having taught at K-12 schools back in Zimbabwe, Dr. Chitiyo is passionate about policy changes that address special education teachers’ professional development needs to better serve students with disabilities. Recently, he has worked on a research project examining special education teachers’ professional development in needs encompassing 8 Sub Saharan African countries. The research is aimed at understanding teachers’ knowledge and use of evidence-based behavior management practices in classroom. Dr. Chitiyo has presented his work at multiple national and international conferences including the CEC DISES, ABAI Autism, World Conference on Transformative Education and others.
Alexandra Evans
Registered Nurse
I’m Alexandra. I graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 2013 with a BSN. I have nine years of experience ranging from nursing home care to, most recently, ICU. I worked for many years in the ICU, where I gained extensive knowledge about critically ill patients with numerous co-morbidities. I joined Patience’s Compassionate Care in 2022. I am also a wife and mother of two: a son who is five and a daughter who is three. In my downtime, I enjoy exercising, baking my own sourdough bread, gardening, and caring for my chickens!
Tandy Jones
HR
Tandy has lived in the Pendleton, Indiana area all her life. She is married, has two adult children, and two dogs. Tandy passion is helping people become the best they can be. For that reason, she entered the world of HR right out of college and has been there ever since. She has been an HR Coordinator, HR Manager, HR Business Partner, and HR Director. Tandy has 30+ years of HR experience, mainly working in the service industry.
Tandy hope is to help Patience’s Compassionate Care provide services to individuals with disabilities and enable every employee’s growth by maintaining a compliant workforce. Tandy and the CEO Patience worked together a few years ago and she admires and respects her passion. Tandy is happy to join Patience’s team and look forward to working with her and growing the business.
Jasmine Jones
Program Manager
Jasmine is the program manager. Jasmine has 5 years of experience in leadership/management and 12+ years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Most of Jasmine’s career has been working with individuals who have received respite, rehabilitation, as well as, aged and disabled services. Jasmine has always had a passion advocating for individuals with intellectual disabilities as they may not always be able to advocate for themself. Outside of work Jasmine enjoys traveling, especially out the country, so far her favorite country has been Costa Rica.
Jasmine also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
